August 2006 Update
Hello from Japan!
Teddy and I are glad that August has arrived. The first 7 months of 2006 were extremely busy. We’re grateful to have a little time to rest before we move on into what the Lord has for us to do.
So far it has been a great year. Yes, it has been very busy, but we are learning more and more to rest in the Lord. We feel the Lord is promoting us with new authority, new anointing and just plain favor. There has been lots of transition. Last time I wrote about Arise Japan, where we want to start a reformation, hitting at some of the social issues. I keep seeing a shift in strategy coming where we have to aim much more at the marketplace. I will keep you posted on the various changes as they come. Thank you for praying and be blessed as you read the rest of this report.
In Christ,
Ron and Teddy Sawka
- Taiwan, July 9-14 – First we were with a group of Lutheran churches (34). They asked me to explain and activate prophetic ministry. On the final night we sang the prophetic Song of the Lord, followed by corporate ministry. It was one of the most awesome meetings I have ever been involved in. The spiritual atmosphere had become so clear and open that everything was easy. I knew exactly what to do and what to say. Often in these meetings the Lord will lead me to declare various healings He is doing and various problems He is solving. I was led the same way here, but it was different. It felt like the words went directly to the heart of the people. No opposition, no questioning, no doubts; just pure, clear faith. It was like we were right in the middle of the glory of the Lord.
God continues to give favor in Taiwan. More and more churches and groups want me to come to do teaching. Also, we now have many of my teachings available on CD. We also have a Taiwan office. There’s not a physical location yet, but there is a secretary/coordinator. You can contact Christina Lee at citaiwan@ciasia.net
- July 15-20, Prophetic Business Meetings –Apostle Larry Bizette in Japan and Korea. Larry and his friend Rick Peterson brought tremendous teachings to us in both nations. The ministry we arranged in Japan was more local (at our CI churches in Tokyo and Sano). From there we flew to Korea where we held our very first totally CI Asia-sponsored conference.
- The title of the conference in Seoul was “Great Transfer of Wealth”, and it was very successful, thanks mostly to the hard work of Nora Park, who is my Executive Director there. The seating capacity was 800 and the room was nearly full.
- On the 2 nd night, I opened by explaining the history of CI in Korea and how last year God instructed me to not be a visitor, but an Apostle in Korea. At that time I became my own “representative”, so to speak, and we opened an office. I then introduced Nora Park as my Executive Director. At that point in the meeting, Apostle Larry Bizette prophesied over CI Korea and myself. He prophesied that God would give us our own building (within 7 weeks) and about us opening a Prophetic Business School. That night, we felt like the “Apostolic” was birthed in Korea but with a distinctly “marketplace” edge to it.
- The next morning, one minister presented me with a donation of US $10,000 for this building.
- From the 2 nd day onward, we began to notice “diamond dust” on my chair. It was only on my chair, and kept increasing, especially during the final meeting. In the final meeting Apostle Larry took a pledge offering for our CI Korea building, and over US $160,000 of pledges came in.
- CONCLUSION: Something has shifted in Korea. We hope to buy our own building (actually one or two floors of a building) in Seoul, and trust we can open a Prophetic Apostolic School of Business and Government by March 2007.
- July 29, Opening of Prophetic Training School in Sapporo, Japan – about three months ago, I noticed that a year earlier, Chuck Pierce had prophesied about Prophet Schools in Hokkaido (the northernmost Island of Japan). Of course we had been praying about doing systematic training and teaching in Hokkaido, and had done a few meetings in Sapporo (the capital city – pop. about 2 million). Now I knew we had to start a school. God gave us favor and contacts so that we were able to hold our opening meeting on July 29. Starting in September, we will send a team to do intensive training, one Saturday a month. This will be a full day of teaching and training. I trust it will be a blessing to the churches there. There will be offerings and school fees, but of course not nearly enough to cover the costs of flying a team in and out each month. Here again, I am thankful for the $1000-a-year supporters, because their giving very much makes this school possible.
