ciasia update: march 2008

apostle ron sawka – Feb 9-15. I won’t mention the name of the church (for safety reasons), but God gave us an incredible week. We first began doing prophetic training there in the mid-nineties and this was the first time back in several years. There were many highlights:

1. We did a week of prophetic and apostolic activation with about 400 people – I have never seen such an open group, as well as a group that responded so readily. (It felt like the plow was able to go deep into what is now very fertile soil.)

2. Dale Mast (Delaware) went with me, and I felt we accurately modeled the way an “apostle-prophet” team should work. We both felt the flow of anointing and revelation was pretty incredible, and felt that we “increased” each other.

3. We felt God used us to help “shift” the nation. On Wednesday morning the praise was kind of weak, so I did what I usually do, which is to stir up the people and then led them in a “victory shout.” I shared from 2 Chron 13 about how the people of God were surrounded but raised a shout and God set ambushes against the enemy and gave great victory. As we were doing that, both Dale and I felt something “snap” or “crack” spiritually.

4. From several months earlier the Lord had showed us about some kind of connection (negative) between the Himalayan Mountains and Burma that needed to be broken. The Lord knows I overlook the simplest things, so He had a missionary from Nepal in that very meeting. When the pastor pointed him out and reminded me about that Himalayan connection it was so obvious what to do. I stepped into that role as apostle and declared that connection broken, and that Burma was being set free.

– Feb 16-20. This was the 2nd leg of our apostolic journey. In the first meeting, the Lord impressed me with “I will make …rivers in the desert”. I felt the Lord was emphasizing that revelation of the Holy Spirit was increasing. When there is revelation, it is easy for people of God to see and understand quickly what He is doing. This causes faith to jump and expectation to increase. Two of many highlights:

1. Korea is the doorway for apostolic-prophetic into Asia. Because my base is Japan, I had always looked to Japan as this door. But the Lord clearly spoke that He was giving an open heaven over Korea for this apostolic-prophetic to flow to the nations. There already is a huge passion for outreach to the nations, and the numbers of Korean Christians is astoundingly huge. This “revelation” helped me understand just why I am scheduled for Korea for a week every month of the year.

2. Market place ministry in Korea is growing by leaps and bounds. One business exec told me that in 2 years time over 70 employees (total about 200), had become Christians.

, TOKYO. Our first house church seminar was held on February 23rd, and our church in Tokyo was packed. The more I have studied this subject the more I have come to understand it. Here are some conclusions:

  • House churches are an easy and natural way of planting churches
  • House churches must be connected to apostles and apostolic “mother” churches (I get that from Acts 2:46 ? “So continuing daily with one accord in the temple...and house to house...”)
  • House churches must be informal and must focus on every member being part of nurturing/mentoring and influencing friends and family for Jesus (Col 2:19).

I feel house churches, and even just using your home for fellowshipping with people, is key for Japan. I would like to see us double the number of churches in Japan this year.

– March 21-April 30. I feel I need to ask our world wide intercessors and supporters to pray for Japan during the above 40 days. May 4-6 we will be hosting Alistair Petrie for a TRANSFORMING the LAND conference. I feel these are critical times for Japan and trust this conference will also be watershed for this nation. So please be aware, and please be praying for huge numbers of people to rise up and help us.

– I am asking the Lord for 300 individuals to support us for $1000 for the year 2008 to help us shift the nations of Asia. While many have signed up for this year, we still have a ways to go. Again, I thank those of you who have pledged. If you haven’t already done so, please send us a digital photo of yourself (seeing your face makes it easier when praying for you). Also, please remember to send any prayer requests or needs you may have. My commitment is to pray for you.

– Please check our website for our weekly podcast. Radio broadcasting has been on my heart since Cindy Jacobs prophesied strongly to me about it in May of 2005. A podcast is not the same as radio broadcasting, but, as a well-known Indonesian broadcaster told me, they are close cousins. After we have established a fuller online presence, it should be a relatively straightforward jump to radio…
