ciasia update: may 2007

Dear Supporters,

As always thank you so much for your prayer and support. I feel a siege has been broken and we are moving ahead.

MAKING DECLARATIONS is a powerful Spiritual Weapon:

Recently the Lord has been showing me the power and importance of making decrees and declarations. Job 22:28 says you shall declare a thing and it shall be done for you. It goes on to say that more light, or revelation, will then be given. Since then I have seen that many things go into motion when we make declarations. I did a teaching on this recently in Sano (you can watch it here).

Below are some points on Declarations, and what happens when we make them.

  1. Eph 3:10. God wants us to declare His will (and timing) to principalities and powers because it is a spiritual weapon against them. He makes His will or desire clear to us via revelation such as prophecy.
  2. Satan tries to intimidate us. Declarations from us intimidate him (see David and Goliath in 1 Sam 17).
  3. When we make the declaration, anointing from the Holy Spirit begins to rise up in us to help us fulfill the declaration.
  4. When we make the declaration, angels are released to help us (Ps 103:20).
  5. Our declarations not only set things in motion, but also do so quickly. Something will begin to happen almost immediately (Ezra 6:3).
  6. It breaks the enemy stronghold that has been resisting us (Ezra 6:7).
  7. It causes the necessary resources to be released (Ezra 6:8). In fact, God takes full responsibility for the finances.
  8. It causes necessary connections to occur.
  9. Ezra 6:9 – causes an urgency and certainty for the project (“without fail”).
  10. Ezra 6:10 – brings an increase in intercession and worship.
  11. Ezra 6:11 – Satan always tries to change God’s will and timing. Our repeating the declarations keeps him from doing this.
  12. Ezra 6:13 – Declarations bring great effect on Christians and non-Christians alike.

I did a teaching on this in Sano church, May 13 followed by my making the following declarations:

a. Declared that now was the time of revival for Japan;
b. Now is the time of internet broadcasting, radio broadcasting, etc;
c. Now is the time for Japan Alive (social movement to affect youth in the areas of sexuality, changing ideas about abortion, introducing them to God who loves them).

It is interesting how the Lord had been leading me. I had pondered and meditated on making declarations. Then in a telephone conversation last week, Bishop Hamon prophesied to me to “make declarations about Revival for Japan”.

Thank you for praying for the May 3-5 conference that we held in two places, Sano (May 3-4) and Osaka (May 5). Attendance was very good and some significant things happened…

Declaring the Siege/Famine is over: In the very first session I was led to 2 Kings 7:1-2. Elisha prophesied that the siege was over and by this time tomorrow, food would be plentiful again. Perhaps it has seemed like we have been under siege in Japan for a long time. It’s like the spiritual bread has been very scant. (Of course there are Bibles, and teaching, and preaching in abundance in Japan, but the numbers impacted have been very, very small. Thus, you could say, on a national level, that the people have been starving for revelation of the word of God.) God spoke very clearly, “The siege is over. Revival is here.” We must declare it and declare it. One week later I talked with Bishop Bill Hamon, and he prophesied the same thing to me. He said, “Ron, the Lord tells you, ‘Declare in Japan that the revival has begun.’”

I urge you to do the same. Declare as much as possible, that revival has begun.

PROPHETIC FULFILLMENT: The meetings were prophetic in several ways:

Live Internet Streaming – this is the first time we have done live broadcasting. We did it via internet. People were watching us in New Zealand, Taiwan, USA, Korea, and elsewhere. Our plan is to increase live shows, or webcasts on demand as much as possible.
Healings and Deliverance – The meetings were punctuated with multiple healings. Cindy Jacobs told us last year that God wants to bring healing ministry to this nation.
New Generation Apostles – God allowed us to minister in a very exciting way using the new, young leaders. Most of the speaking and teaching was done by Gaius Lawrence, my son Mike, and his wife Rachel.
New Outpouring of Holy Spirit – Not only was there great teaching/preaching, but a new anointing was released and deep working of the Holy Spirit occurred in each meeting.

Anointing and Presence of Holy Spirit:

Thank you for praying for our ministry in Korea. I was there from May 7-11, ministering at our Bible College. It was a very full schedule: Monday through Wednesday, 10:30 AM to 5 PM was for our undergraduate Bible school, and Thursday and Friday were allotted for our Doctoral Students. Each evening there was also was a meeting from 7-9:30 PM. Mark Gulland was with me and carried a lot of the teaching and ministry load. I make this trip one week each month.

I am amazed each month by the strong presence of God and help of the Holy Spirit. I can sense this from the very first meeting, and it just gets stronger from meeting to meeting. There is no loss for words, no loss for direction. Everything happens so easily in the presence of God. Truly, where the Spirit of the Lord is, is liberty (2 Cor 3:17). A prophecy from Jane Hamon at the beginning of this year said that our school would be known as a place of angelic visitation. I haven’t seen any with my physical eyes, but I have sure felt their presence!

JUNE 17 CI Korea Church Opening:

A month ago, the Lord spoke to us about expanding from a Bible College to also doing a church. He quickly confirmed it several times. I have made the formal announcement, and our first service will be on Sunday, June 17 at 11 AM. The church service will be held in the same place as our Bible College. In addition to myself, I will use some of the young apostles the Lord has given me, as well as our Korea Staff, led by Nora Park, who is deputy-Director for CI Korea.

During that week (May 7-11), I felt the Lord give me a vision of many, many sheep. The sheep were mature and the wool was pure and white, which indicates to me that the church will be known as a place of maturing and purity. I am excited about this new and unexpected leading of God.
