ciasia email update, october 2006

As always, thank you so much for praying. I know we could not advance and do the things we are doing without your prayers. Also, thank you so much to our financial supporters, and special thanks to those of you who pledged $1000 for 2006. Those finances have been of incredible help this year.

I realize that it’s a pretty bold headline, but let me explain. From September, I strongly felt that we need to prophesy and declare what we have been praying and hoping for – Revival in Japan. I felt that the more we prophesy and declare this, the more the winds of the Holy Spirit and revival begin to blow. So, I have been making strong declarations like this as well as encouraging others to do the same. What surprised me is the many testimonies and “happenings” indicating that something is really shifting in this nation. For example:

  • One person from Okinawa testifies that she is able to minister to non-Christians daily, very easily. She says they are so open.
  • An older man watched “The Jesus Film” in West Tokyo. The pastor simply asked him if he wanted to believe Jesus. He said yes, and has already been baptized. Two weeks ago, he even received physical healing.
  • A pastor told of a friend’s sister in critical condition because of a serious traffic accident. The pastor prayed over the phone, and a few minutes later received word that her condition had suddenly stabilized and that she had been taken out of the critical care unit.
  • At an English school in Osaka, the mothers (non-Christians) are requesting prayer for deliverance and breaking off curses for their children because they saw how effective it was on one child whose mother requested it.

– I realize this may seem strange, but this seems to be an exact strategy of the Holy Spirit. When Christians realize they don’t have to worry about “persuading the person to come to church,” it is like a huge burden taken off their back. They just minister freely as the Holy Spirit leads. The results (see above) are pretty impressive.

– I can’t actually call this a new revelation, but the Lord has been showing me the importance of joy, and the importance of just plain joyfully celebrating His victories. I have begun to see that proper celebration of one victory plants the seeds for the next victory. Along with that, rejoicing: 1.) Breaks up the foundations of the spiritual strongholds resisting us and the gospel; 2.) Increases our spiritual authority; 3.) Helps release the word of God, enabling it to speed ahead; 4.) Tends to draw people to the Lord.

– I spent almost 2 weeks in Taiwan and ministered in the three major cities of Taipei, Kaohsiung, and Taichung. This was my fourth trip this year and I can report that the prophetic teaching is really being established. In one city we had over 10 Taiwanese prophetic teams ministering each night. It was so powerful. The next day the pastor told me that people were so excited he couldn’t get them to go home!

– This year we have been able to establish a doctoral program for the training of leaders and marketplace ministers. The school is growing. We continue to look for our own permanent building/classroom so we can properly expand. Please believe with us that this will be unlocked before the end of 2006.

– I am scheduled to minister in 3 places in East Coast Russia, next April. There is such a desire to be taught how to hear the voice of God and minister the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Gregory Kolupanovich is a key man for us in this region. We are very happy that he will attend our Japan New Year’s conference.

– God continues to open up this nation for us. In some ways, the teaching I have done has been most effective here. These leaders have become prophetic and apostolic, and with my blessing have taken initiative in reaching out and training other churches. One of these churches has just finished doing prophetic training in NEPAL. Hallelujah!
