ciasia update november 2007

Greetings,

Every year, I attend the International Gathering of Apostles and Prophets Conference at the CI headquarters in Florida. As usual, it was a powerful event. God released some very strong teachings and revelations, one of which is elaborated on below. I pray this teaching will bless you and help you quickly move ahead.

Additionally, we're currently planning our annual New Year's Conference (Jan 2-4). We've invited Rich Marshall to be the guest speaker, and we're believing and declaring for God to do many great things then. I hope you can join us.
Insight from the International Gathering of Apostles and Prophets (IGAP) Conference (Oct 16-19, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida)

Most of what I will share was preached by Bishop Hamon in his opening message at the conference. Actually, the Lord revealed this strategy some days before the conference. Bishop Hamon, who says he gets dreams about once a year, had a dream. In it, he kept hearing "Makida. The key is Makida." As they researched it, they were led to Joshua 10 where the Israelites had a key battle with five kings. These kings were defeated and they fled and hid in the cave Makkedah (sounds same as Makida). Later they were caught and executed, and then hung on trees until sundown (Josh 10:27). Let me try and summarize why this message was so important, and why it will result in breakthrough for all of us in the apostolic-prophetic reformation.

1. These kings were trying to stop the expansion of the Israelites. Joshua had led them to victory at Jericho and Ai. They were established in the land, but still hadn't occupied it. The word "Makkedah" has the idea of diminishing, decreasing, poverty, depression etc. Perhaps many of us feel this way. We have been following God and seeing victories, yet have run into opposition that wants us to decrease. God does not want us to diminish, but to take dominion.

2. Makkedah also means shepherding, driving by force. God wants us to be in the right place of increase and dominion; Satan is trying to drive us into a wrong place of diminishing and oppression.

3. The sun and moon stood still so they could have complete victory (Josh 10:12-13) - The five kings can be seen as representations of five major demonic structures/principalities. God wants us to have victory over these principalities that are holding us back. We must take this battle seriously. I feel the names of these five kings will show us precisely what we must overcome for victory in the season ahead.

4. Each of these kings has a name that better describes the activities of the demonic force they represent (Josh 10:23). The following is a brief thumbnail sketch of how they operate:

King of Jerusalem - This demonic principality is after our peace. We must not allow circumstances to cause worry, because it only leads to oppression, injustice and fear. We must know how to be in peace (and joy) if we want to advance. Ask the Holy Spirit to clearly show you areas of worry, and deal with them.

King of Hebron - this spirit puts pressure on people to make themselves better. It is a religious spirit causing us to move into self-effort. This keeps us from moving ahead in the things of God, because we do not simply trust God and rest in Him, knowing He will bring the best for us.

King of Jarmuth - represents a spirit of besiegement. This leads to isolation and poverty. If we allow ourselves to be isolated from each other, we miss divine connections that God would give for ever-increasing fruitfulness.

King of Lachish - represents a spirit of blindness. Also this spirit will try to get you to have the glory shine on you (again, by self-effort). This results in general spiritual darkness and lack of revelation, as well as bondage. Declare that God is opening your eyes and that His glory is shining.

Eglon - represents a spirit of accusation against ourselves (self-condemnation) as well as against one another. We need to resist this utterly. The spirit of accusation cuts off the voice of God as well as the war cry from our hearts.

5. Be decisive to take victory over these spirits. The captains put their feet on the necks of the enemy and slew them (10:24-25). We must determine that we will in no way allow these spirits to continue operating in our lives any more. Just as the Lord forced them to hide in Makkedah, He wants us to know He has gathered them for us to defeat. Make a bold declaration and declare them defeated. From time to time meditate on this so they cannot rise up again.

Make Declarations - They hung them on 5 trees (10:26) - This is similar to Jesus who triumphed openly over Satan on the cross (Col. 2:14,15). I believe one important way of showing open/public triumph over these spirits is to make declarations over areas where we have experienced decrease and diminishing. In other words, declare the opposite of any defeat/depression you may have been experiencing.

SOME of my (Ron's) Declarations - during the meeting I felt so impacted by this message. I realized that I am constantly being pressured to lower expectations and take a "safe" approach. This is contrary to what God has. So I made some bold declarations:

  1. I declared that the CI Asia network would grow quickly. I declared a doubling of churches in Japan within a short time. (Three days later, Sharon Stone prophesied to me that we would enter a time of great church planting.)
  2. I declared that in one year's time, large finances would come in:
    · $500,000 for Japan Alive.
    · Land be donated in Seoul, Korea for permanent CI Korea headquarters.
  3. That ROI (Corporate Training) would move ahead (Later that week I received a prophecy that God was connecting me with high-level key people).
  4. That doors for broadcasting would continue to open (not just Japan, but Korea, and Taiwan as well).

---

I can't emphasize enough the power of decrees and declarations. When we publicly declare what God has spoken many things are set in motion including:

  1. God releases the promised object.
  2. The anointing of God rises in you so the Holy Spirit can lead you and impart necessary strategies
  3. Angelic help is released
  4. Necessary contacts and resources are released.

2008 New Year's Conference
JAN 2-4 Sano, Japan

We have invited Rich Marshall (Author of God@Work; God@Work, Vol. 2) to be the guest speaker at our annual New Year's Conference. He will focus on the area of ministering in the marketplace. We will also be focusing on the essentials of the apostolic church.

Why these topics?

First off, as the apostolic-prophetic movement grows, I find that the wineskin, or the way we do church, must also change. We have activated believers and shown them that each one has a ministry wherever they go and whatever they do. The Church needs to help them fulfill these mandates.

Secondly is worship. We must help people switch from worship just being in church to something they do in their homes and wherever they are.

Thirdly, the Church must not be "program driven", but Spirit-led. God has built in blessings for each day, each week, each month. We need to help people live in that.

And finally, we are entering a time of great harvest. We must help plant churches that minister the power, healing, and deliverance of God.

Conference topics will include:

  1. Ministering in the Marketplace
  2. Understanding and Releasing the Blessings of Each Month
  3. Power of First Fruits Offerings
  4. Essentials of Apostolic Churches
  5. How to Establish Apostolic Churches

Additional information will be available soon.
