2006 Year-end report
 At the beginning of 2006, the Lord began speaking to us about change. He told us via prophecies, dreams, and words of knowledge that we needed to discard some old mindsets and ways of thinking in order to receive the new things He wanted to lead us into. One prophecy said, “My Spirit is about to come down and explode; enlarging and expanding the vision beyond what you have seen.” We have seen this. I feel that we will look back on 2006 as a watershed year. We have crossed over into Canaan, so to speak. Some have decided not to enter and have pulled away. We bless them (In early 2006 the Lord told me this would happen). But, we must go on. So many great things are waiting for us.
Review of the process: 1989-2006
1989 – Began holding New Year’s Conferences with CI-activated prophets
1993 – Prayer journeys to Myanmar and Indonesia (part of the 10/40 Window Journeys)
1994 – IFIJ – headed up much of Japan’s connection with the 10/40 Window prayer movement. In 1995 we sent over 100 people to nearly 20 cities in Asia to do intercession as well as identificational repentance for the Japanese invasions of those places. Shortly thereafter, Japan had some government personnel changes, and non-LDP Prime Ministers Hosokawa and Murayama publicly and officially apologized for Japan’s actions is WW2.
2000 – Bishop Hamon and Chuck Pierce both prophesied about occult spirit increasing in Japan and that the church would begin to be persecuted. There has not been legal persecution, but statistically the church seems to be getting smaller and smaller. The optimism of the 90’s has gone. In 2001 I released my book, “Goat Nation to Sheep Nation,” identifying Emperor worship as one of main reasons for the spiritual veil of darkness.
2001 – one month after 9-11, we formed a new prayer movement called Gideons Army 2 Japan, linked with CP Wagner and the 40/70 Window prayer movement. For five years, we did spiritual warfare through intercession, prophetic acts, and even prophecy. We have been battling with the spirit of death over this nation. As you know, the death rate finally surpassed the long-declining birth rate, resulting in negative population growth since Autumn 2005.
Some of the strategies the Lord gave us:
- Four Corners Prophetic Act – Four teams (Sapporo, Narita, Okinawa, Fukuoka) simultaneously built altars, lit fires, and declared the fire of the Holy Spirit would sweep over this nation and the seed of the word of God would overtake the seed of the spirit of death. We also released articles about cleansing your own land, plus the four corners in your city.
- Large prophetic meetings – In 2003-04 we held large prophetic meetings in major cities – Sapporo, Hachino he, Sendai, Tokyo, Obu (Nagoya), Osaka, Kyoto, Okayama, and Okinawa. We prophesied to the region, releasing the hidden treasures of darkness (Is 45:3). In most of these places prophecies were spoken declaring that the spirit of death would be broken.
- Prayer Journey to the top of Mount Fuji – In Aug 2004, we held a major prophetic meeting in Kyoto, and then climbed Mount Fuji. Gregory from Russia helped us in this. At the top, we took communion with the land, declaring the blood of Jesus was shed for it, and His Body broken for all of Japan.
- National Days of Repentance – In June 2002-2003 we held national days of repentence for the sin of Emperor Worship, and renounced and broke any national covenant with the queen of heaven through this emperor worship.
- May 2005 – We hosted Cindy Jacobs. She led us in repentance for abortion and infanticide in this nation, removing that bloodguilt. This was followed by a 40-day fast (with many Korean churches cooperating). Japan’s destiny is closely linked to Korea’s. She also declared to me to break into mass media, such as radio and TV.
- May 2005 – Hosted Chuck Pierce in Sapporo; releasing the north and east prophetic winds of God, bringing change and deliverance.
- Jan 2006 – Released anointing of martyrs (Rev 12:11, “…they did not love their lives to the death.”) at conferences in Sano, Kobe, Okayama, and Okinawa. This is one reason why we are beginning to see so many former Christians begin to come back to the Lord.
- May 2006 – 20 Japanese repented publicly before 7000 Koreans at a conference (Cindy Jacobs, Che Ahn, Ron Sawka) in Seoul.
- Nov 2006 – Prayer journey to North Korea – this came about from a prophecy given at the May 2004 conference in Sano.
What are the results?
- Spirit of death is being defeated – the last half of 2006 showed an increase in the birth rate. There is also national discussion on how to increase the population. Even the TV series about a 14-year old mother shows the mindset of the nation is changing. (Instead of automatically getting an abortion, a huge point of this program is the girl choosing life. This program is hugely popular. Inadvertently or not, it is a prophetic sign that God is breaking in on the consciousness of the nation.)
- Prophetic schools in Hokkaido, Towada, Sendai, Sano, Tokyo, Osaka, Okayama, and Okinawa. Hopefully new ones will be started in Niigata and many other places. These schools facilitate prophetic activation as well as prophetic flow of the Holy Spirit over Japan.
- Beginnings of entrance into Television – Pete Sawka had a 10-week contract with Sano Cable TV.
- In May 2006, Cindy Jacobs released a REFORMERS anointing. We are not just working for revival, but also want to see transformation. This signaled both the ending of Gideons Army 2 Japan and the formation of Arise Japan which has three major thrusts:
- Intercession -
- Marketplace evangelism with emphases on healing and prophecy
- Japan Alive – A national movement for life, adoption, and better sexual standards
- Signs of revival are happening in Japan:
- Healings are happening easily
- Evangelism seems easier than ever
- Reports of signs and wonders
- A recent poll reported 7% of Japanese youths say they are Christians
FOCUS for 2007
- Marketplace Evangelism – continue to teach people how to prophesy and heal in the marketplace. Note: this is very easy for people who are already prophetically activated.
- Simplify church life – for more discipling, evangelism, and spontaneous growth. I believe we need more late-night and early-morning prayer watches done simply and spontaneously. Emphasize these 4 constants:
- Continuous worship (our very lives are to be continuous sacrifice to the Lord - Romans 12:1-2, Ex 29:42)
- Continuous thanksgiving (1 Thes 5:17-18; Ex 37:10
- Continuous prayer (Heb 13:15; Ex 30:7)
- Continuous fellowship with the Holy Spirit (Eph 5:18-19; Gal 5:16; Ex 27:20)
- Help establish and cover house churches
- Teach on and release anointings for business and financial increase. Help Christians start businesses and to prosper.
- Focus on Niigata and western Japan. God is opening up Northern China, Far East Russia, North Korea, and Japan. God will give many of you connected with us, business and ministry opportunities in this region.
