Belarus Report, Intercession for Japan

I am so thankful for so many that replied they would pray daily during the Belarus trip (see report below). Today (Wed, Nov. 21) I leave for Malaysia with Micah Lawrence. Here’s our schedule while in Malaysia:

Tawau – Calvary Charismatic Church (CI Asia network), Nov 22-25
Kota Kinabalu – Prophetic training; business seminar, Nov 26-29
Sibu – Hosanna Church (CI Asia network), Nov 30-Dec 3

Again, thank you so much for praying for us (myself and Gregory Koloupanovich who coordinates the fledgling CI Russia for me). I felt from the beginning that the trip to this nation was especially divinely orchestrated. There were some difficulties, but the presence of the Lord was very strong the whole time. I knew this was because of so many of you were praying. (Many people from around the world responded to an earlier message and said they were praying daily.)

On the day of my arrival, Gregory and I met with Pavel, the coordinator of this trip, and several other pastors. As we prayed, the Lord gave us 2 Thess. 3:1 – that the word would spread swiftly. We had long meetings every night. From the beginning I sensed several things:

  • That the church of Belarus was in a time of transition. (The earlier growth has plateaued.)
  • That it was losing its “war cry”.
  • Even though they were quite familiar with prophecy and “apostolic” ministry, those anointings really had not taken hold in the believers.
  • That God wanted to raise a prophetic army for breakthrough for Belarus.

Rather than being able to do a straight Ministering Spiritual Gifts seminar, I found I had to do a lot of demonstration and laying on of hands. On the first night, I asked the other pastors to join me for a “fire tunnel”. When we got towards the end of the line (of the 70 or so attendees), I signaled for them to come through again if they wanted to. Apparently they did, and they came through again, and then again, and then a fourth time: shifting more and more into freedom and joyful expression throughout the process. This “multiple-passes-through-the-fire-tunnel ministry” happened each night, and definitely was a key for this trip.

Personal Testimony - The Lord was very gracious to me. Let me share one little testimony. On the morning of the 3rd day, as I was surveying the fact that it was a small meeting and number of pastors was smaller than I would have liked, I got a bit pessimistic. However, the Lord reminded me of what I had written to myself in the previous night’s activation, “Writing the thoughts of God.” I had written (to myself) about Belarus and the words were, “I have given you an open door in Belarus. It is time to move boldly and declare the doors are open. There will be a phone call and contacts the next day…” Sure enough, there was a phone call, and we ended up meeting some key people. From then on I was very careful to keep declaring God had given a wide open door there.

Thursday night was not a seminar, but I was asked to speak at a monthly worship gathering. Here, too, the presence of the Lord was mighty. I prophesied over Belarus. One part of the prophecy was: “As the prophetic army arises, even economic change will happen. The economy will grow. The government is about to adopt new legislation to enable foreign investment to come in easier…”

Results:

  • All felt there was great breakthrough and that the war cry was sounded again (there was a lot of shouting every meeting)
  • Prophetic activation is taking root. On Sunday, the pastor gave time for testimonies about the seminar. The pastor’s wife went first, followed by many others, all excited that they now knew how to hear the voice of God.
  • Training in prophetic activation will now begin to occur. The two key pastors that arranged the seminar will start prophetic schools in their churches. They will start with teaching MSG. (Gregory Koulapnovich will be available by phone/internet to guide them if they need help. We have the MSG manual and workbooks in Russian.)
  • I met with key leaders, including the one pastor who has squared off against the government as it tried to intimidate him, isolate him, and illegally seize his church’s buildings. A year ago, many of us around the world prayed for this church. They are holding firm. I shared with him that it really was a fight against principalities and powers over Belarus, and the prize is great harvest for this nation.

Greetings to all CI Asia (Arise Japan) intercessors! I am thankful for the prayer updates for Japan's government and wish to encourage you to pray. The Holy Spirit is indicating to many that now is a special time of prayer. Last month, in a prophecy while at CI, the Lord told me to raise the intercessors to pray the following:

1. For God to open a place in government where our voice will be heard.
2. God is going to bring down some (wrong) walls in government.
3. God is going to establish some new (better) boundaries about government.
4. Satan has some kind of takeover plan, but God will over power it.

God is speaking to us to pray for Government. Lets rise up and do it

Below is the part of that prophecy to me from Leon Walters:

"I am going to open a place in the government where your voice is going to be heard. Begin to mobilize the intercessors in that nation. This is the season I am going to bring down the walls. I am going to establish some new boundaries. The enemy has a take over plan. But I already have a hand that is going to overpower the hand of the enemy."

Thanks for praying.
