POWER OF DECLARATIONS:

More Apostolic Fund ($1000 pledge) Supporters rising up! Now I am asking for 20 more.

Last time I shared about the power of making declarations. A declaration is a powerful spiritual weapon. When we know what God wants and know it is the timing we can do more than just pray. We can declare that it will be done (Job 22:28; Mk 11:14,21). This declaration releases anointing in us for faith and releases angels to assist in the task.

FUNDS FOR MEDIA EQUIPMENT:

Last month I declared that God would give us an increase in apostolic fund supporters so we can purchase necessary cameras and equipment for broadcasting. Guess what? People have been signing up. I declare that 20 more will sign up before the next update in late July.

OPENING of CI Korea Church:

This week I am in Korea for the opening of our own CI Korea church. To plant a church in Seoul was never one of my aims or desires, but the Lord spoke this clearly and confirmed it a couple months ago. I anticipate that we can be a model of the new apostolic prophetic churches that train and release believers into marketplace ministry.

Already we have a good core of believers. Our first Sunday, June 17, God surprised us with a pouring-out-of-fire-anointing. He then spoke and said this would be a week of fire. That is just what has been happening – especially in the evening sessions; a strong fire anointing was poured out.

FIRE IS NECESSARY PASSION to help us shift into the new:

From the next day on, my team and I have been teaching at our CI Bible College. All has been going well, but for some reason I noticed a “tiredness.” At first I paid little attention to it, and then realized it had some kind of spiritual connection. I was also surprised that there would be “tiredness” during a week of fire of the Holy Spirit. Finally, towards the end of the week, I understood the significance.

Most of you know that we teach frequently about God shifting the church; but perhaps we don’t talk enough (or grasp enough) about just what God is shifting us into. Well, He is shifting us away from church as we know it, where believers come to church in order to grow and help the church grow. He is shifting us away from church-centeredness to Kingdom-of-God-centeredness. In other words, the purpose of church is to train believers to be ministers in the marketplace and to make an impact for the kingdom of God wherever they might be.

Now, back to my experience. One day, I was teaching my doctoral students about Apostles. I noticed that when I was teaching about apostles as we traditionally think of them (planting churches, raising up leaders, establishing church government etc.) I was in a normal teaching/speaking mode. But when I began talking about ministers in the marketplace and apostles in the marketplace I got so excited. Passion and fire just rose up in me. I realized the tiredness appeared when we were talking about some of the old things; but when our attention shifted to these new things God is doing, passion and fire came.

Please recognize that fire/passion is more than just excitement. Jesus’ passion (see Acts 1) carried him through the hard time in Gethsemane. God is pouring fire/passion on us so we can go through the difficult places and transition into all He has. In other words, establishing proper understanding of marketplace ministry and bringing necessary changes to the church so it can be the wineskin for that will not be easy. Thus we need the fire/passion.

MALAYSIA REPORT – May 26 to June 3
(Click here to see pictures from the trip)

Micah Lawrence, a young prophet/businessman from Osaka, accompanied me and we ministered mainly in Sibu, East Malaysia. This is my 3 rd year to visit this church, which from the very beginning has aggressively applied what I taught them. They are committed to making the “shift,” much as I described above.

PURPOSE OF APOSTOLIC COVERING IS TO RAISE UP AND BRING INCREASE:

A highlight was the final evening, when we commissioned their pastor, Rev. Hii, as an Apostle. I feel this will have huge positive impact on the church. First, because Rev. Hii has taken the step of publicly receiving the gift of apostleship, the anointings and graces of that office will be strongly released upon her and that whole group of churches.

Secondly, because they have come under our CI Asia covering, our annointings work to elevate and raise her up. I am thankful for a teaching that our good friend Barbara Yoder did on the topic of apostolic covering. She pointed out that we often only view covering as protection and something over us. This view tends to “restrict” our vision. Yes, the umbrella protects us from the rain, but its not much fun to walk around with an umbrella. Now I view “covering” not as umbrella, but as robes. Jesus said “you will be clothed with power from on high” (Luke 24:49). An even better picture is Elisha getting Elijah’s mantle and beginning to move in the power of the double anointing. When we commission or set a minister into their apostolic office the anointing on us drops on them, with the potential for much much more.

THREE SIGNS OF REVIVAL IN JAPAN:

A month ago I began declaring Revival in Japan. I share three signs of revival

1. People seem to decide to accept Jesus very easily (whereas it was difficult before)
2. Healings and other signs happen quite easily
3. Unusual (and successful) methods of evangelism

PROPHECY CAFÉ:

This is the other name of our CI Asia Tokyo Church. This spring the 2 yr lease in the old building would not be renewed so the church had to locate. Pastor (Mrs) Kazuyo Yoshida, who is also very prophetic, felt led to open a church that would also double as a coffee shop. The location is right near Waseda University in Tokyo and is on the ground floor. That is where they hold church and seminars. However, at other times, every day, it is a coffee shop, called Yogen café.

People come for coffee and then of course see the signs that they can get prophesied over if the so desire. 99% of them ask for it, and are profoundly moved. When the leave they express again and again their thankfulness and awe that God knows so much about them and loves them. Amazing!
