-
Month of Dan. A month to judge, grow up, and mature. See Genesis 49:16-18. Samson came from the tribe of Dan. (see Judges 13). He did not mature, and therefore did not reach his potential. God intends for us to be able to judge/lead like Samson, but unlike him, wants us to grow up and mature. Declare that you are maturing.
-
The Ending of Chanukah. In the midst of destruction there is mercy. (Chanukah means, “The light will not go out.) No matter what your problem is, God has a way to impart mercy to build for the future. Look at every difficult situation you are in right now, and declare that God has mercy and light for you in the midst of them.
-
A month to war with the evil eye, and break the power of evil watchers. (If you don’t break it, it will try to guide you). “Evil eye structure” is embedded in our culture. It causes dark angels and evil spirits to manipulate us. If we gather together at start of the year, we participate with angels, and can push ahead. I noted the passage in Acts 13 when Elymas the sorcerer hindered Barnabas and Paul. Paul prayed, and the Lord struck him with blindness. Similarly, we can pray and ask the Lord to close the eyes of the enemy so we are not hindered.
-
Pray for “commander-in-chiefs.” Many strategies begin to be released at this time, as well as in April and in July. God gives us people to lead and guide. We need to pray for them. A good leader will give us revelation. Be sure to pray for your spiritual covering, as well as for the political leaders of your nation.
-
Review your education or what is initiating you into your next phase. Sign up for a course; get some sort of training if you need it. Make sure you are advancing, moving ahead, and following the leading of the Holy Spirit.
-
Be angry but do not sin. Emotions are like a line. You can cross the line, and your whole soul gets damaged and the promises of God will not manifest. Read Ephesians 4:24. Anger is equated to being demonized. Note the suddenness of anger. If we do not learn to process it properly, so our emotions are under the control of Holy Spirit, we will erupt and fail when the test comes. “Be angry and sin not.” Get over your anger before nightfall. God will give you opportunity. So when have time, deal with it. For example, if you are have free time at work, then pour the word of God into you, build yourself up.
-
Capricorn - the Goat. Hinds feet on high places. 2 Sam 22:34; Psalms 18:33; Hab. 3:19. God is enabling us to go to higher and higher places in Him. Declare that you are moving up.
-
A time to leap like a goat (or deer). We all have areas of immaturity. Often we think of growing or maturing as a very slow, slow process. The idea here is that we can “leap” quickly to a state of maturity. God wants us to “leap” out of the area of immaturity into maturity. It is also a chance every year to share your testimony. Did how you get offended last year—is it still the same as this year? Isaiah 35:6, “Then the lame shall leap like a deer...” Psalm 18:33 “He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and sets me on my high places.”
-
Month of Hebrew letter AYIN– (looks like a “Y”) – it means, “Let your good eye see.” (Think also of “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God”. Purity of heart leads to purity of the eyes of our heart (the good eye)
-
Month of the liver – The liver is important because it purifies. Proverbs 7:23 talks about a dart in the liver (prostitute). Sexual sin will affect your liver. We can trust God to purify us by the blood of Jesus. Think of it as entering your own blood stream and cleansing you of the spiritual impurities that may be there because of your bloodline or even your own sin. When the liver is purified, the brain and heart also function properly.
-
A month to fast. Either a full fast, or a Daniel fast.
