Tishrei, 7th month of the hebrew calendar

Most of the content is derived from teachings I heard from Chuck Pierce and Robert Heidler (Glory of Zion) a few years ago. Praying and declaring these blessings over myself, family and ministry the past 4 years has brought incredible blessing. – Be blessed! Ron Sawka

The Month of Tishrei:

  • Month of Ephraim – The 2nd son of Joseph. Be fruitful and multiply. Gen. 49:22, “Joseph is a fruitful bough...by a well; his branches run over the wall.” Gen. 49:26, “The blessings of your father have excelled the blessings of my ancestors…”
  • The 7th month – The dearest of months because all sevens are dear, creating the most “satiated,” or “full” month. (The year has progressed through two 3’s and is now in a new beginning). Think, “Fullness of God.” Think of His overflowing abundance and goodness.
  • The month where divine providence creates a “beginning” (this is, of course, the beginning of the Hebrew Year). Expect many new things to “begin” for you now. You have been in a time of preparation; now those things begin.
  • The beginning of six months of reflected light. This changes our environment: the way we process time; the way we work; the way crops grow; the way we harvest...
    • Think of yourself being one who reflects the glory of the Lord all around you (cf. Isaiah 60:1-9; John 8:12; 9:5).
    • Think of God reflecting His glory on you
  • Month of Hebrew letter LAMED, which signifies the aspiration to return to an absolute source. At the head of the year we say, “Lord, how do we get back to being sure we are flowing in what you are doing?”
  • The month of return – You need to declare that things that have been scattered will come back. Remember the devil wants to scatter and dissipate us; the Lord wants to gather and strengthen.
  • The month of Libra (the scales) – Where the deeds of man are weighed and judgment is released. We concentrate more on the justice system than in other months.
  • The month of touch – Think of the woman who pressed through the throng and touched Jesus’ the garments. This is the time to feel the presence of God. Touch Him and let Him release virtue on you (Luke 8:40-49). Note also, that the Feast of Tabernacles comes during this 7th month. The purpose is for us to live in the glory of God; live in his presence.
  • The month of the gall bladder – This is often linked with arousal; therefore think of spiritual awakening, and then be sure to remove that which would keep you from returning or entering into all of the fullness that God has for you.
  • Watch out for bitterness. At the head of the year you must purge yourself of bitterness. At the beginning of the year (in the 1st month) we had to watch out for bitterness. Now in the 7th month take one step further and make sure you are purged of all bitterness (against people, against yourself, and against the Lord) Heb 12:15
  • The month of well-balanced control – Some things are coming to completion; others are just beginning.
  • This 7th month is linked with Joseph, which refers to a double-portion – see Genesis 49:22-26. (From Joseph came 2 sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, who became two of the 12 tribes.)
