Malaysia-Indonesia Trip - The trip to Malaysia  (Feb 28-Mar 1) and Indonesia (Mar 2-7) has been going so very, very well. Whenever I share about our new apostolic network Arise, people respond with great excitement. It's such a privilege to work with cutting-edge people who want to see the powerful spreading of the kingdom of God. I feel an important role of Arise is to model and aid in setting up Apostolic training centers so that marketplace ministries can function effectively. It is awesome to see the excitement and hunger of so many people that God is now raising up.

Overcoming Anxiety Part 2 (Plus another lesson on faith learned on the golf course). - It's critical that we overcome anxiety in this month. Anxiety and worry can rise up so very easily. This can greatly wear on us, or cause us to lose our joy (and then we will lose victory and momentum) or make us afraid or feel unprepared to try the new things the Lord has for us. As a continuation of last week, here are a couple more simple steps to victory:

1. Address and drive out demons - Usually it's not just the case of a difficult situation, but a spirit of anxiety and worry will rise up and make the situation so much harder to deal with. When you do sense it is a spirit (demon) operating, then you must rebuke it. The rebuke must be deliberate, pointed, and authoritative. In general, I find that we Christians are far, far too slow to pick up when there is demonic oppression. (Demons often intimidate Christians from exposing them by feeding them thoughts like, "Don't think about demons too much", or, "You're always blaming stuff on the devil." ) If you are getting those thoughts you can be pretty sure it's not the Lord giving them to you! So go ahead and rebuke the demons! Often you will then experience a great lightness and openness in the atmosphere around you.

2. Prayer - Just yesterday the Lord gave me another powerful lesson on prayer while I was (ahem) playing golf. This particular time I hit a stretch where my game really started to get worse. Since I have had times when the Lord definitely "helped" my game, I decided to again pray and ask for the Lord's help. So I did, and then began to wonder "when or if" I would see this help. The Holy Spirit instantly impressed me that I had to believe right now. In other words, i had to believe that the moment I prayed, that God began to work. It was a struggle, but I worked hard to adjust my thinking.

The result was kind of amazing. I got a "birdie" on the very next hole, then a par, a bogey, and then a few more pars. Quite a turn around. But I was delighted with what I learned from the Lord. We must believe God is responding the very moment we pray and the very moment we make a prophetic declaration.
